About the Role
We are seeking aJourneyman-level Maintenance Mechanicto support afood and beverage manufacturing facilityinSouth Gate, CA. The role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting of all filling, packaging, and utility systems across both the manufacturing plant and warehouse.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in thefood or beverage industry preferablydairy and possess strongmechanical and electrical troubleshootingabilities. Hands-on experience withHTST pasteurization systems,separators, and proficiency inhydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration, boilers, and weldingis essential. Experience withFogg or Federal rotary fillersandEvergreen paper fillersis highly desirable.
This position requires a dependable, collaborative team player who isflexible to work 2ndshiftand committed to maintaining high standards of safety, equipment reliability, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational uptime
- Maintain and service HTST pasteurizers, separators, pumps, and process systems
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration, and boiler systems
- Support welding, fabrication, and equipment installation when required
- Partner with operations and quality teams to optimize performance and reliability
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and comply with safety protocols
- Flexibly support any shift as production needs require
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in afood or beverage manufacturing environment(dairy preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience withHTST,separators,Fogg or Federal rotary fillers, and/orEvergreen paper fillerspreferred
- Familiarity withhydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration, and boiler systems
- Welding and fabrication experience a plus
- Must be ateam playerwith flexibility to work varied shifts
- Journeyman-level mechanical certification or equivalent experience preferred
