Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Identify and resolve issues related to electrical and control systems, including sensors, limit switches, solenoids, motors, servos, PLC programming, and PID loops.
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems such as pumps, vacuum pumps, belt drives, gear reduction drives, piping, valves, air handling systems, and material delivery systems.
- Implement safety and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring equipment calibrations and enhancing system reliability.
- Perform preventative maintenance on motors, motor control devices, pumps, conveyor systems, instrumentation, and production equipment by following technical documentation, schematics, and manufacturer instructions.
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues through observation, listening, and the use of precision measurement and testing instruments.
- Minimize downtime by communicating preventative maintenance procedures and operational best practices to operators, ensuring compliance, and escalating concerns as needed.
- Provide technical support to operations and other teams, offering guidance on maintenance practices to prevent equipment damage and improve efficiency.
- Fabricate repair parts or process additions as necessary to support operational needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing training and technical assistance to operations and support teams.
