Job Summary
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Train in the laboratory and production areas to become familiar with the basic plant operations for a cheese and whey plant.
- Perform laboratory chemical and microbiological testing of finished products and incoming ingredients.
- Perform physical and organoleptic evaluations of finished products and incoming ingredients – ex: pizza melt tests, body, texture, and flavor.
- Assist with food safety programs including HACCP, sanitation, glass control, and pathogen environmental monitoring.
- Write and revise Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Other Quality Assurance duties or projects as assigned.
- Other Production duties or projects as assigned.
