Job Summary
Join our team at Akins Ranch, where we prioritize cleanliness and safety in our facility operations. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Lead Sanitor. This position is integral to maintaining a hygienic environment across various departments, ensuring our commitment to excellence in sanitation practices.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- This role reports directly to the FSQA Manager
- Own the master sanitation schedule and ensure that tasks are completed on time based on schedule.
- Manage Chemical Cage and ensure that area is maintained clean and organized.
- Lead sanitation team to clean equipment effectively and ensure that all areas pass QA Inspection on time every morning.
- Own Sanitation Inventory for supplies and chemicals, conduct weekly inventory checks and communicate with FSQA Manager for any supply needs.
- Conduct cleaning duties in dry rooms and product inspection areas as needed.
- Assist in the inspection of machines, promptly addressing any cleaning requirements based on audit findings.
- Operate cleaning systems and equipment following established guidelines and specifications.
- Utilize water hoses, chemicals, and appropriate tools to effectively clean and sanitize equipment, including conveyors, grinders, blenders, tables, sinks, and surrounding areas.
- Fill out relevant sanitation paperwork accurately and consistently as instructed.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in safety awareness initiatives and contribute to maintaining hygiene standards.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing sanitation preferred
- Previous sanitation experience required
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to cleanliness standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Basic understanding of sanitation chemicals and their proper usage.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
