Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Marketing Manager (Contractor) to lead strategic marketing initiatives related to regulatory changes in the retirement and workplace benefits space. This role is ideal for a self-driven marketer with strong B2C experience in financial services, who can navigate complex projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and translate regulatory changes into clear, participant-focused communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead marketing strategy and execution for regulatory updates affecting participant communications (e.g., SECURE Act).
- Partner cross-functionally with legal, compliance, technology, creative, and production teams to develop and implement communication plans.
- Act as marketing SME on retirement plan regulations and new features.
- Manage project timelines, track updates, and ensure communications are delivered accurately and on time.
- Develop messaging strategies and creative briefs for participant-facing channels.
- Oversee updates in marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and content management systems.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years of integrated B2C marketing experience, preferably in financial services or highly regulated industries
- Expertise in retirement plans, workplace benefits, or participant education
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to bridge strategic vision with tactical execution
- Clear and persuasive communicator with proven ability to influence across teams
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Experience working with legal/compliance review processes
- Familiarity with participant journeys, logic/data requirements, and marketing automation platforms
- Knowledge of Roth Match, RMDs, LTPT, and other regulatory impacts on plan communications
