From your PASSION to ours Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Materials Planner based in Tulare.
The Logistics Material Planner will be required to schedule production requirements for the four businesses (Cultured, Grated, Whey and Feta) in SAP tools. This person will need to be engaged with Operations, Finance, Quality and Distribution to develop strategies to optimize line run rates, run rules and capacities while reducing cost and avoiding service risk. Need work with Raw/Pack planners ensure that all incoming materials and labor will be available to scheduling finished Semi-finished goods production by evaluating and avoiding risk while delivering products for the business. Monitor raw & pack and finished goods inventories to ensure proper shelf life, safety stock, and days of supplies are maintained by various inventory reports with the planners and staff. Engaged in cycle count performance to avoid risk or loss while utilizing warehouse capacities. Manage and control the semi-finished goods inventories and flow through the plant with a focus on maximizing customer service and minimizing overall cost or losses.

Key responsibilities for this position include: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: - Ensure all Policies and Procedures are executed, and the team completes necessary paperwork:
- Utilize SAP tools and ensure it flows to EWM accurately and timely.
- Will be responsible for reporting and reconciliation of semi-finished Goods of Plant Attainment (PA), compliance to plan (CTP), and Case Fill Rates (CFR) both at the plant and corporate levels.
- Execute Spreadsheets for production and reconciliation of FG, WIPs and Semi-Finish goods are accurate on a weekly basis.
- SAP system generated errors or issues, must be identified, cleared, produced, unproduced and develop ways to avoid in the future (BOM, Cycle count, DISCO, and training). Work closely with all plant departments in the education, use and promotion of the SAP systems.
- Execution of vehicle sizing and claim resolution on both stock transfer orders STO and sales orders SO.
- Engaged in material start up or discontinuation, trials, system updates, and verification of approved / accurate.
- Responsible for cycle count accuracy, develop measures for continuous improvement of the accuracy of the Raw / Pack/ FG inventories.
- Weekly executions on products and materials at or close shelf life / code date, to avoid product loss by liquidation, donation, scraping, cycle count and disposal of any such products.
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively to all levels at Lactalis Heritage Dairy.
- Must be able use SAP, create and maintain Excell spreadsheets and other Microsoft office tools effectively.
- Have effective time management skills.
- Conduct Inventory management processes and cycle counts
- Produce and distribute all necessary reporting as required.
- Participate in the audits and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
- Develop, track, and report meaningful performance indicators that show the effectiveness of their job performance and any other control efforts.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate and pass down business information.
- Complete failure analysis including root cause and corrective action.
- Actively identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other assignments as needed by team or Steering team.

Performed similar positions in the past
College degree preferred, or minimum of one year in the food industry
Knowledge of food processing and inventory control preferred.
Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year to learn the function of the job.
Strong organizational skills and flexibility

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed deadlines
Demonstrated ability to delegate and follow through
Excellent time and project management skills
Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment because of access to confidential information

Purchasing experience preferred
Documented job performance work record and attendance record to be reviewed.
Specialized training SAP training preferred
