About the Role
As a Warehouse & Supply Operations Specialist, you will support logistics operations at an off-site depot in Los Angeles, California. You'll manage the end-to-end flow of materials and equipment for both civilian and military customers, ensuring accurate receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical capability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and invoices
- Identify and reject defective or non-conforming parts
- Organize and label inventory for efficient retrieval, considering environmental and spatial constraints
- Fill orders and requisition stock to meet demand
- Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies
- Coordinate with freight carriers and interact directly with customers
- Operate within a joint venture environment, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Use Microsoft Office and learn depot-specific inventory management systems
- Lift and move items up to 35 lbs
- Maintain documentation and reporting for management
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in supply support, stock control, or warehouse operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience with logistics IT systems and applications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical
- Prior experience operating forklifts or pallet stackers
- Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with Army regulations and supply chain operations
- Experience with Asset Management Systems, Unified Tracking Systems, or similar tools
- Prior internship or work experience with a DoD contractor or government agency
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally across teams and cultures
