Job Summary
Position: Grants And Finance Specialist
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 3+ months Contract (Possibility to extend or convert)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of governmental regulations and research compliance
- Strong accounting skills and understanding of financial principles
- Proficiency in Excel and web-based tools
- Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
- Completion of Cardinal Curriculum I and II within the first year of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education, especially at Stanford University
- Extensive knowledge of Uniform Guidance, sponsor policies, and research administration practices
- Familiarity with Stanford systems:
- Stanford Electronic Research Administration (SeRA)
- Oracle Financials
- Commitment Management System
- iLab
- Business Intelligence Reporting Module
- Certified Accountant, Auditor, or similar credential
