Summary
- Senior leadership role reporting to the CEO, responsible for Finance, Compliance, and Risk Management.
- Directs fiscal functions in alignment with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Participates in strategic planning and execution to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a core member of the Executive Team, providing financial insight and strategic leadership.
- Collaborate with CEO and Board committees on strategy, governance, and decision-making.
- Oversee all financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, and sustainability planning.
- Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, government, grant, and audit requirements.
- Lead annual audits (financial, programmatic, and contract) and ensure timely resolution of findings.
- Manage risk through policies, internal controls, and asset protection.
- Advise on financial impact of strategic initiatives and contracts.
- Oversee investments and work with investment managers to ensure long-term financial health.
- Strengthen financial systems, policies, and infrastructure for efficiency and accountability.
- Lead and develop the finance team for high performance and growth.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and mission-driven financial stewardship.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and executives on financial risk and major contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience (CFO, Controller, Treasurer).
- Must have Nonprofit industry experience
- Expertise in audits, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and investment accounting.
- Experience with government-funded financial requirements and compliance.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
